With many European countries in lockdown and access to training centres for assessment restricted REAL Alternatives 4 LIFE has established a process for training centres to hold theory assessments online.  The online assessments support technicians to continue to improve their knowledge and understanding of the safe use of alternatives uninterrupted.

With options to perform the assessments using any of the popular platforms such as Zoom, Whatsapp, Gotomeeting and Google Meet, the complete multiple choice test lasts up to 60 minutes for each candidate.  Video and audio connection must be maintained throughout to ensure security, and candidates need to produce photo ID to verify their identity. 

The complete REAL Alternatives programme also includes practical training courses and practical assessments in carbon dioxide and flammable refrigerants (HC, HFO, R32).  Free on line learning covering the theoretical knowledge of allow low GWP alternatives including ammonia is also available for self study.
